FAQs – Bristol Drone Services
Yes — all our drone operators hold full CAA Operational Authorisation for safe, legal operations in urban areas like Bristol.
We offer clear, tailored quotes to suit your project and budget — just get in touch for a free estimate.
Drone flights are regulated, and urban or restricted zones often require special permissions or may require a smaller lighter drone to be used. A professional operator will handle all necessary planning and obtain the appropriate authorizations and complete a full risk assessment to ensure any flight is safe, appropriate and in full compliance with local laws.
Most drone flight will be capped at an altitude of no higher than 120 meters (400 feet) above ground level, and up to 500m. The drone must also remain within visual line of sight of the pilot during the operation. The vast majority of drone operations are completed within these parameters although it is also possible to submit a specific operational safety case to the CAA to fly beyond this if needed.
